• Wales Do The Double

    Team Wales landed a reare double as they claimed both the Mens and Masters title at the European Team Championships, while England took the Ladies title, in St.Petersburg, Russia.

    Former world number eight, Darren Morgan led the Masters team to victory.  He lost just one frame in the tournament against Ireland's Joe Delaney.  Phil Williams, also a former professional played a strong supporting role and the pair took the title comfortably with a final win over Irealnd in the final.

    The Mens event was more tightly contested as Wales again overcame Ireland, this time in a nailbiting final frame shoot-out.

    The Welsh team of Lee Walker, Elfed Evans and Pete Roscoe were delighted to get revenge for the last minute drop-goal in the six nations rugby.

    Pre-tournament favourites, England lived up to their billing by taking the Ladies Title with an emphatic six frames to nil win over Russia in the final.

    World numbers one and three, Reanne Evans and Maria Catalano proved just too strong as they cruised to victory.

    In the Under-19 individual championship, Belgium's Luca Brecel made history by becoming the youngest ever winner of the title after a six frames to five win over England's Michael Wasley.
