• Williams Sees The Light!

Two time world champion, Mark Williams was in the wars again as he crashed out of the World Snooker Pro Challenge Series Event 3.

He lost by four frames-to-one against Stoke's Jame Cope, twice hitting his head on the lightshade in the process.

Williams, who broke his arm just before the Shanghai Masers, is used to playing with the light shade well above the playing surface.  The tables at The Willie Thorne club in Leicester have traditional lighting and world number 15, forgot on two occassions.

"I leant across the table to play the shot and got up and banged my head.  It hurt too!

"Jamie played ok, but I was a bit silly and conceded with 8 reds and 9 reds left in two frames".  If there had been a referee I might have got into trouble.

Elsewhere Ricky Walden made a 140 total clearance in a quick-fire demolition of Mike DunnJoe Perry got the better of Michael Holt in a deciding frame, Judd Trump beat Simon Bedford and Mark Davis beat close-friend Paul Davies.

    The event concludes on Wednesday.
