Whitewashes in Germany
Jimmy White and namesake Michael made convincing starts in Germany both winning four-frames-to-nil in the opening round of the first European Players Tour Championship in Fuerth.
The Whirlwind eased past Michael Seidel and will now face Dave Harold for a place in the last 32 after the Stoke potter made it past six-time world ladies champion, Reanne Evans by four-frames-to-one.

Michael White produced the kind of form that has given him the reputation as one of the best teenage players in the world.
The Welshman, who celebrated his 19th birthday last month, made breaks of 58,101 and 136 in beating Stefan Gerst 4-0, and will face Northern Ireland’s Patrick Wallace in the last 64.
Elsewhere, Jamie beat Jak in the all-welsh battle of the Jones’.
There were deciding frame wins for Andrew Pagett against Paul Davies and Leeds’ David Grace over Paul Davison.
Dutchman Roy Stolk, gave the highly rated Liam Highfield a scar before the 19-year-old scraped home winning four-frames-to-three.
The tournament previously known as the Paul Hunter Classic retains a link to the three-time Masters champion, who died after a long battle with cancer in 2006.
The 201 event has attracted most of the games top players with the likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, mark Williams and world champion, Neil Robertson all taking part, with the final taking place on Sunday.
