• The Wind Blows Strong In Prague

Jimmy White won his second title overseas this season after adding the World Series of Snooker Prague title to his Sangsom 6-Red International that he won in Thailand.

The Whirlwind dropped only four frames in three matches as he stormed to victory and prove to his critics that he is still a force to be reckoned with.

In the 'exhibition' phase of the competition on Saturday, White beat Sishuo Wang by five frames-to-nil and set up a mouthwatering clash with world champion, John Higgins.

Higgins was never really in contention as White made three breaks over 50 in the the ten red bout.  The highlight was a near perfect 103, just four away from a 10-red maximum of 107.

In the other semi-final, 2006 world champion, Graeme Dott beat fellow Scot, Stephen Maguire by the same score.  Maguire won the opening frame but Dott, who seems to almost back to his best also made a century in winning the next five in a row.

Sunday's final returned to the traditional 15-red format, which White stamped his authority on by taking the first three frames.  The next two were shared, and although Dott scrambled to reduce the deficit to just one frame, Jimmy's win was secured in the eighth thanks mainly to a break of 65.
