Wells Snookered by Volcano
Former Paul Hunter Scholar, Daniel Wells is stranded in Europe, after winning an Open tournament in Riga, because of the volcanic eruption in Iceland.
Wells was scheduled to return from the Latvian capital last Friday but has had to sit tight and wait for airspace to re-open or find an alternative route back home.

The Welsh youngster told Global-Snooker.com, “It has been a nightmare. I was due to fly home on Friday but like thousands of others I have just had to sit and wait for news.
“I have looked into various options, and if flights are not back on by Thursday, I am probably going to get a bus which leaves here at 8am on Thursday morning and arrives in London at 8pm on Friday.
Wells won the tournament, sponsored by Nikolay Budvilla (pictured left) and is the first of a series of events that is expected to grow in the coming years.
Alan Trigg (pictured right) said, we now have eight superb Star Tournament tables, which provide perfect playing conditions to develop more tournaments in Latvia.
