• Shaun Storms Into Final

Shaun Murphy stormed in the final of the £200,000 Party Casino PTC Grand Finals in Dublin with a convincing four-frames-to-nil win against Matthew Stevens.

The number one seed, who earlier beat Ricky Walden and recovered from 3-1 down against Stephen Lee wasted no time in booking his place in the final where he will meet number two seed, Mark Selby or Martin Gould.

Lee showed signs of the kind of form which once took him as high as number three in the world with century break in the second to lead two-nil.

Lee looked like going further ahead in the next but the 2005 world champion had different ideas as he cleared with a timely 64 to pinch the frame.

Lee won frame four but Murphy with breaks of 116 and 68 drew level before sealing the win in the next with a 62.

Selby also survived a final frame shoot-out against world number two, Mark Williams to keep his hopes alive of claiming the first ever Players Tour Championship and with it the £60,000 first prize.

The Jester from Leicester took a two frame lead before the Welshman responded to lead 3-2.

Williams had a chance to win the next but ended up losing on the pink and after a mid-frame snooker caused the two-time champion to make five fouls, Selby pounced with a decisive 39 break to put the result beyond doubt.
