Robertson Remains On Course in PTC 5
World champion, Neil Robertson is one of only five of the world’s top 16 ranked players made it through to the final day of the fifth Players Tour Championship event in Sheffield.

Robertson eased through a tough draw, beating Mark King and Andy Hicks before overcoming a Graeme Dott in a rematch of their Crucible final earlier this year.
Andrew Higginson continued to make progress recording three wins on his way to Sunday’s last 16.
The Widnes professional, beat China’s Chen Zhe and the in-form Barry Hawkins before beating number two seed, Mark Selby by foru-frames-to-nil and set up a match against world champion, Neil Robertson for a place in the quarter final.
Welshman, Matthew Stevens came through the toughest draw on paper. He has shown signs of getting back to his best over the past couple of seasons and continued to impress with wins against Stephen Hendry, Jimmy White and Shaun Murphy and will face fellow countryman, Dominic Dale in the last 16.
Wales are well represented on Sunday with Mark Williams and Jamie Jones also still in the running.
Jones beat Gerard Greene by the odd frame after beating China’s Liu Song and German, Patrick Einsle, making the highest break of the event so far, a superb 143 total clearance.
Williams, who is up to number four in the latest world rankings looked good, dropping only three frames in beating Mark Miller, Issara Kachaiwong and Liang Wenbo and will play Patrick Wallace on Sunday.
As well as Selby, the biggest losers who don’t feature in the last 16 include, PTC number one, Barry Pinches who lost to Ben Harrison in round one.
Northern Ireland’s Mark Allen took out Harrison before losing against Rory McLeod.
Stephen Maguire was stunned in round one by India’s Aditya Mehta, who went on to beat Kurt Maflin before being outgunned by Ricky Walden in the last 32, the Chester-based start making forur frame winning breaks to secure his third PTC final day spot in a row.
Ronnie O'Sullivan withdrew from his third PTC event and will need to play in the final event next week to be eligible for the Tour Finals next March.
