Judd’s Law Rules In Germany
Judd Trump became the first winner of a European Players Tour Championship event with a spirited fight back against Anthony Hamilton to claim the title and the ten thousand Euros first prize, in the final in Furth.

The tournament, previously known as the Paul Hunter Classic is the fifth leg of World Snooker’s new Players Tour Championship but the first to be played in continental Europe.
Nottingham’s Hamilton, who has struggled to find the kind of form that once saw him competing regularly at the top end of the game, opened up a three-frames-to-one over his younger opponent.
The last frame often proves to be the hardest one to win and Trump rallied to produce breaks of 97, 69 and 52, outscoring Hamilton by 268 to 39 in under 40-minutes.
Alan Hunter, father of the three-time Masters champion who died in 2006, was on hand to present the prizes to the finalists.
Trump moves into the top five on the PTC Order of Merit, with the top 24 players gaining automatic entry into the Finals next March.
The next stage of the twelve event series takes place next month in Bruges.
