Top International referee, Eirian Williams dropped a clanger or at least a coin ahead of the start of the China Open quarter-final between Shaun Murphy and John Higgins in Beijing.
The Welshman, who is one of the game’s top officials, told his Facebook friends, “Good start- preparing to Referee John Higgins and Shaun Murphy, spun a coin at the practice tables, Shaun calls "heads", I miss the coin on the way down, it lands on the floor and rolls to the most awkward place UNDER the table. Of course, I get on my knees, drag it out and John wins the toss and elects to break in huge hilarity!”
