Higgins Holds Off Ronnie
World champion, John Higgins got revenge against world number one, Ronnie O'Sullivan in front of a packed Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.
The Scot, beaten by O'Sullivan last month in Shanghai delighted his hometown fans by recovering from 4-2 down to snatch victory with a break of 94 in the final frame.

Higgins said, "I knew there was a chance on, but the nerves were jangling out there.
"The bad shot became a good shot when I got out of position on 30-odd. I ended up having to split the pack off the yellow.
"He [O'Sullivan] was struggling all day with his long pots. He seemed to be cueing across the ball.He seemed to cue across a key red in the eighth frame which would have sent me home for sure if it had gone in."
Higgins' name is the first in the 'hat' for the quarter-final random draw which will take place on Thursday and will be one that others will want to avoid as he extends his lead atop the provisional world rankings.
He was joined in the last eight by Northern Ireland's Mark Allen who struggled to get the over the line but eventually saw off the challenge of Stoke's Jamie Cope by five frames to three.
