Dale Pips Gould to PTC 6 Title
Dominic Dale beat Martin Gould in a deciding frame shoot out to win the sixth and final Players Tour Championship in Sheffield.

Gould looked to have sealed victory in the seventh frame leading by 70 points to 36 with just one red left on the table, before the Welshman laid a snooker which led to eight penalty points and a chance on the red.
Dale known ‘affectionately’ by his fellow pros as the Spaceman, calmly took the red with black and cleared the colours to grab a 79-70 final frame win.
Thankfully for the tournament officials there was no press conference after the final to give Dale the opportunity to repeat his rendition of ‘My Way’ which he famously sang after his last tournament win in Shanghai.
The win moves Dale up to number four in the latest PTC Order of Merit.
Gould, easily the most improved player on the circuit can't be far away from his maiden tournament win also leaps into the top ten at number nine.
England’s Barry Pinches remains in the top spot with Mark Selby overtaking Mark Williams to regain second place after the Welshman withdrew this week.
Competition for the coveted top-24 places in the Order of Merit will get hotter over the next couple of weeks as the action moves onto Germany on Thursday and Gloucester the following the week.
