    Alan Chamberlain
    The longest serving referee in action on the professional circuit.  He qualified as a referee in the mid 60s, took charge of his first televised match in 1983 and is still considered by some of the players on tour as the best.

    The Welshman quit the professional tour four years ago but continues to officiate the Premier League on Sky Sports.

    Michaela Tabb
    The popular Scot has become one of the top professional referees on the circuit and took charge of her first world final in May when John Higgins beat Shaun Murphy.

    Jan Verhaas
    Holland's Verhaas has been a professional referee since 1993.  He refereed the final of this season's UK Championship and Masters IBSF.

    Colin Humphries refereed his first major final at the Welsh Open.

    Patricia Murphy took charge of televised matches for the first time at the new World Series of Snooker.
