• Thai's the Ticket for Europeans


    The EBSA, the European Snooker body, is staging a qualifying event giving 4 players the chance to compete in the 2010 Sangsom 6 Reds in Thailand


    The prestigious Sangsom 6 Reds takes place at the Montien Riverside Hotel in Thailand, from 17-25 July 2010.


    Last year's winner, Jimmy White, will be back to defend his title, along with a host of other well known professional players.


    Thanks to the generosity of organiser Sindhu Pulsirivong amateur players from Europe get the chance to line up alongside their idols in this fantastic event.


    Jimmy White pocketed £1 million baht (around £18,000) last year and it has alreay been announced that this year's prize fund is set to be doubled.


    Each member country of the EBSA is eligible to nominate two players to compete in the play off, to be staged at the Dolmen Hotel, Malta, on 29 March 2010.


    Players are not able to enter the qualifier as an individual, they must be nominated through their national governing body.


    The EBSA has announced that the four qualifiers will get free accommodation in Thailand plus 500 Euros towards their travel costs.


    Oceania has been invited to send one player to Thailand and they also hold a qualifying event in late March.
