     Notes:

    Frame 9. Robertson rattles in 59 to round off a good evening's work for him. Davis will be very disappointed with his poor form.

    Frame 8. Davis gives the fans something to cheer about at last. If he could win the last of the night he'd still have a chance tomorrow.

    Frame 7. Robertson is cruising now. In fact he's got a chance of a maximum this frame, 88 so far... and he's missed the next red!

    Frame 6. Steve Davis had a chance to clear the colours to trail only 3-2 but he missed the black and Robertson potted it from distance and pulls 5-1 clear.

    Frame 5. Davis broke down on 25, Robertson stepped in with 69 to lead 4-1.

    Frame 4. Robertson opened with 53 but there was a long struggle on the last red before Davis got a kick and left it on, so it's 3-1 to the Aussie at the interval.

    Frame 3. Davis gets huge applause as he rattles in 51 and gets his first frame on the board.

    Frame 2. Robertson lashes in 73 in quick time to lead 2-0.

    Frame 1. A wonderful reception for Davis from the adoring Crucible crowd, but he makes a couple of errors and Robertson takes the opener.

    Frame 12. It's all over for the six times former champion. Steve Davis will return to the BBC Studio, wile Neil Robertson goes through to face Allister Carter.

    Frame 11. Robertson piles in a century and just needs one more frame now.

    Frame 10. Robertson inflicts more misery on Davis and moves 8-2 clear.

    Hello again. Welcome back to the second session. Robertson is red hot favourite but I'm sure all the fans will be hoping that the evergreen Steve Davis can produce some glimpses of his best form.
