     Notes:

    Frame 9. Cope rounds off a thoroughly enjoyable night's entertainment in style with 81 and that leaves him only a frame behind overnight.

    Frame 8. Perry's constructed an excellent 110 to open a 5-3 lead.

    Frame 7. Cope fires in a 71 in a quick 8 minute frame.

    Frame 6. No mistake from Cope this time, and he's pulled a frame back.

    Frame 5. Perry's taken another on the colours to move 4-1 ahead

    Frame 4. Perry has stolen it on the black to open a 3-1 interval lead.

    Frame 3. It's alight now, as Perry puts together a nice run of 79.

    Frame 2. This match hasn't really sparked into life yet, but Perry's done enough to draw level.

    Frame 1. Welcome to the first session of this match. It could be a classic encounter.
    A few early misses from both players but it's Cope who edges the frame.
    		 Notes:
    Frame 16. Cope holds his nerve and we see the departure of the first seed.
    Cope did miss the match ball red at his first attempt but he made no mistake when given another chance. He'll now face John Higgins or Michael Holt.

    Frame 15. A shock is very much on the cards now as Cope goes 9-6 ahead. Perry lost position on 32, missed a long green and let Cope in for 50. The Shotgun then added the colours to claim the frame.

    Frame 14. Cope is back in the groove again. Perry let him when leading by 30 points and Cope powered through the frame with 73.
    Frame 13. Perry punches in 60 to stop the Cope roll. He's one behind now at the last interval.

    Frame 12. Cope is looking really dangerous now. He's capitalised on an error from Perry, making 78 in barely the time it took to blink.

    Frame 11. Cope takes the lead. Perry led 56-0 until Cope fired in a 75 clearance.

    Frame 10. Jamie Cope blitzes out of the blocks whistling in 81 to level the match.
