     Notes:

Frame 9. Wenbo clears the colours to take the last of the session so that has set this match up beautifully for tomorrow's conclusion.

Frame 8. Ding's stop Wenbo's run, clinching a low scoring frame on the colours.

Frame 7. Wenbo is bang on his game now, that's a cracking 95 break.

    Frame 6. That's more like it from Wenbo, a quick-fire 90 clearance.

Frame 5. No real fireworks in this match yet but Ding is the stronger player at the moment.

Frame 4. Ding makes 63 and that's enough for a 3-1 interval lead.

Frame 3. Ding regains the lead. Wenbo broke down on 38 and despite Ding initally missing the last red when on a run of 43, he got another chance and cleared up.

Frame 2. Liang squares it at 1-1. Only a 32 break but it set the foundations.

Frame 1. First blood to Ding in the battle of the Chinese Dragons.

Good afternoon and welcome to Chinatown! I am surrounding by Chinese media here and back home in China an estimated 200 millions viewers will be tuning in to this match.

    Notes:

Frame 18. Ding's done it. Wenbo missed a red on 14 and Ding has held his nerve to clinch frame and match and probably his Top 16 place too.

Frame 17. Ding is showing great character here. With his back to the wall he's suddenly found his very best form, the mark of a champion.

Frame 16. What a gutsy frame by Ding. First sign of nerves from Wenbo who missed a red on 22 and up stepped Ding to produce a superlative century clearance.
This is a real Chinese Cracker!!

Frame 15. Wenbo is beginning to buzz now. Ding had a brief chance but broke down on 20 and Wenbo has fired in 91. Unless Ding gets a second wind the upset is looking a distinct possibility.
Defeat would leave Ding hanging precariously at 16 on the ranking list. Should Jamie Cope reach the quarters or Davis, Holt or Lee have a good run and any of them could overtake Ding.

Frame 14. Wenbo has completed his recovery back to 7-7. He's kept Ding in his chair, scoreless for over an hour now.

Frame 13. Wenbo is well in the groove now, he's won that frame with a 68 break but still trails by one as they go to their final interval.

Frame 12. Wenbo gets in with an early 51, losing position but wins the tactical exchange and mops up with 77 to win the frame.

Frame 11. That's a huge frame for Ding to win. Wenbo made 52 but skimmed past the pack trying to split them. Ding stepped in with a 72 clearance.

Frame 10. Ding gets off to a good start with a run of 58.
