| Notes: Frame 9. Lee wins the last of the morning with a 50 break and gves himself a decent chance ahead of tonight's session. Frame 8. Day imposes himself again with a cracking 120. Frame 7. Lee pulls a frame back with runs of 44 and 30. Frame 6. The Welshman marches on. He's not under much pressure at the moment. Lee needs to find a way of imposing himself on this match before it slips away from him. Frame 5. That's a big blow for Lee as Day steals the frame from him. Frame 4. This match hasn't really got going yet. Day does enough to lead 3-1 but both players will be looking for some clean cut chances on the resumption. Frame 3. Ryan Day settles any lingering nerves with a 65 break and he's eased into the lead at 2-1. Frame 2. Two visits for Day is enough to secure the frame. Frame 1. A cagey start saw most of the rest at the baulk end. Both players had chances. Day stepped in with 56 but Lee stole the frame on the black with a 36 clearance from the last red. Notes Frame 14. Day rounds off a solid performance and moves through to face Nigel Bond in the second round. Frame 13. Day has been by far the more consistent player in this match and he's within one of victory at the interval. Frame 12. Another frame in the bag for Day. A late frame 47 takes him four clear and two from victory. Frame 11. A nice looking 65 keeps Lee in touch. Frame 10. Day wins the first of the night to move with an 86 break, 7-3 ahead. It's looking like a big gap for Lee to close now. |
