Frame 14. Murphy closes out another frame. An early 62 did the damage, although Fu did get back into it, he left the yellow on.

Frame 12. Fu pulls a frame back but realistically it looks now like an exercise in making the scoreline respectable.

Frame 11. Murphy wins another frame. It looks very ominous now for Marco.

Frame 10. Fu's revival is short lived as Murphy steps in with a run of 102.

Frame 9. Marco Fu has got off to a brilliant start this morning. He needs a lot more clean visits and frame winning breaks to get back into the match. He can't do much better than a 129 total clearance.

Frame 8. Murphy wins a low scoring eighth frame to round off a very satisfying afternoon's work. A huge 7-1 lead.

Frame 7. Murphy has pinched a protracted frame on the pink, after Fu left the brown in the jaws of the pocket.

Frame 6. Murphy is really bossing the proceedings at the moment, another cracking break there, 77, after Marco had the first chance in the frame.

Frame 5. Shaun punches in 73 to stretch his lead to 4-1.

Frame 4. Murphy eventually snatches the frame on the blue after Fu chases snookers without success.

Frame 3. Marco wins his first frame. An opening 60 and closing 47 did all the damage.

Frame 2. Murphy pinches it on the black. He lost position on 46, Fu made 58 but missed the black and left Murphy in to clear the colours.

Frame 1. Good afternoon, welcome to the opening session of this match. Murphy was booed into the arena by a small and obvious pig ignorant section of the audience, but the cheers drowned out the boos. However Murphy is straight into his stride, winning the opener in style with a century.
