     Match Notes:

    Frame 23. Mark Selby has secured his place in the quarter final line up. A break of 64 did all the damage.

    Frame 22. This epic battle continues. Dott has made a brilliant 88 break here to keep himself in the match.

    Frame 21. Selby snatches the frame on the blue. Dott had made an early 30 but lost position, Selby came back with 42 before playing safe on the green.

    Frame 20. Dott had to sweat a bit before clinching that frame. He made 49, Selby needed snookers, but he battled on until eventually Dott sank the blue after a 36 minute frame.

    Frame 19. You can be sure Graeme Dott will not go down without a tremendous fight and that frame typified it. He made 64 but had to watch Selby come back and level the scores on the black. Selby had a go at a double which nearly dropped as a treble but if was the gritty Scot who slotted home the black to take the frame.

    Frame 18. Mark Selby produces his best break-building to move with two frames of the winning line.

    Frame 17. Dott wins the first of the night, after a half hour largely tactical battle.

    Frame 16. Selby has surged through the last frame of the morning and he keeps his health four frame lead ahead of tonight's final session.

    Frame 15. Selby is clearly pleased to win that frame, clenching his fist and thumping the table. He missed a red on 32 but Dott could only make 20 before letting Selby back in.

    Frame 14. Dott steals the frame despite nedding a snooker, a big frame to win to close the gap to two frames, instead of four.

    Frame 13. A crucial miss by Dott has given Selby the chance to open up a three frame gap again. after a protracted safety battle on the last two reds, Dott missed a pot and Selby dished up.

    Frame 12. Dott succeeds in winning three out of the first four frames, and he did it in style with a cracking 117.

    Frame 11. All the reds got pushed up to the baulk end off the safety exchanges and Selby got in to sort them all out and run in a precision century.

    Frame 10. Dott's recovery continues. He only had a run of 37 but controlled the frame and Selby chased snookers in vain

    Frame 9. Good morning, it's a miserable wet Sheffield Monday outside, but it's ideal snooker watching weather! Graeme Dott has got the start he needed. He's got the first of the day to reduce his deficit. He'll look to win the mini-session 3-1 or 4-0 and overall 6-2 to level the match or even take the lead.

    Frame 8. Selby is beginning to run away with this match. That was a nice century until he missed the pink. He takes a healthy 6-2 lead into their next session tomorrow.

    Frame 7. Selby will have an overnight lead. He's moved 5-2 ahead now.

    Frame 6. Mark Selby stretches his lead with a run of 70. He knows he'll be no worse than level at the end of the session.

    Frame 5. Graeme Dott left the last red hanging in the jaws for Selby to pinch the frame.

    Frame 4. Dott has blasted through frame four to level the scores at the interval

    Frame 3. Dott pulls a frame back and the game has speeded up after the protracted second frame.

    Frame 2. This frame is now 43 minutes and counting. They've been playing safe on the brown for 14 minutes already! Hold the back page - Dott has potted the brown, seventeen minutes after the previous pot! After all that hard work Dott leaves the black on for Selby and there's a mass exodus for the toilets!
